| Hello, fellow
stitcher, I am Sibille, owner and designer of Enchanting Threads. My first dabbling into craft  was at
school. Nevertheless, back in these days the focus was on knitting,
crocheting and mostly the "useful" things like fixing holes
in bed linen or socks. Sewing things like pillow covers and hand towels
for the kitchen was a very important part. Embroidery was not
considered necessary, and my teacher never thought about introducing us
into the wonderful world of beautiful stitches. I learnt this craft
from my grandmother and, over the years, I improved my skills in
cross-stitch and Gobelin. I worked many wonderful pictures now uniquely
decorating my walls at home.The last 10 years I started to discover what I really would like to do most. I experimented with different embroidery styles and threads to find my direction. Not everyone is the same - if so the world of stitching would be a very boring one. I wish I could spend much more time on play around with new threads and stitch, but my full time job as a Data Controller/Analyst has priority. Oh my, the day is too short for me, especially when working full time in a demanding job. So, if you do not find a new design every month, please be patient. It all takes time, I do it all myself in my spare time. Some of my designs have been published by the Embroidery & Cross Stitch and Australian Country Craft magazine where I am a regular contributor.
