Dear Needlework Enthusiast!

Been a very long time now on the Internet since 1992 - some web site history from back then!

You will find it out quickly - my favourites are silk and wool threads. They come now in such a variety of colours and types, it is hard to choose which one to use for a new design. The colours are richer, they are very easy to work with. If you ever have been afraid of working with silks, put your fears aside. You breeze through embroidery with good quality material that very seldom tangles and knots.

My other favourite is Linen. Sometimes I work with Evenweave and slip the occasional AIDA in between, but I think Linen is just unbeatable in effect and gives more possibilities. Moreover, those colours, hmmm, just delicious. Silks and Linen are a bit more expensive, I admit that. However, nothing beats good quality materials.

I particularly love Hardanger, a great embroidery to use variegated silks in different colours and thicknesses. But there are also the endless possibilities of samplers, needlepoint designs and designs done just for the sheer fun of them and their only purpose to enhance your home.

I have added a glossary to this web site, which will continue to grow and call on you to submit stitches. If you design your own stitch, you are to name it and you will be added and mentioned as the designer of the stitch. There are no 3rd party products on this web site - all designs displayed are my unique creations and therefore all copyright © is under my name.
