| Sampler Samplers are a great way to make use of left over threads, a piece of fabric we don't know what to do with, new stitches and mixed designs. They can be topic related or feature just wonderful stitches. Not much to say here - have fun stitching them. Samplers are often family heirlooms and many of us have inherited some, worked from generations before. However, because I love colour coordination my samplers will mostly feature matching threads and fabrics.Some of the graphics here can be clicked on for a larger display. |

Previews of Birthstone Samplers – not stitched yet, but I just can't resist to give you a first taste of what's to come. Each and every one of these samplers is designed with incredibly rich colours of Dinky Dyes Silks and Pearl cottons. But that's not all – Metallic Threads, Beads and Swarovski Crystals in the colours of each stone will turn these embroideries into a sparkling series of memories and great gifts. Some of them will feature a sumptuous tassel to achieve the last finishing touch. I haven't priced them yet, but they will only be available as kit containing Chart, colour picture of finished product, clear instructions, Dinky Dyes Threads and Crystals. Fabric, metallic (except where Cascade House metallic are used) and beads are not included. Please note: Size is about 21-25cm(8-10in) wide and 50-60cm (19-23in) long. The backgrounds do not resemble the final fabric colours to be used, the colour is for demonstration purpose only. All samplers are designed for 32 ct linen, and I still have to match the threads with the appropriate fabric in colour and style. The colour variations displayed with the threads indicate that a variegated colour is used. Where appropriate, I have noted that the cross stitch parts are worked over 2 threads and double the size than what is displayed. |

Preview of US Sampler in Cross Stitch This sampler contains all US Flags + the second Paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. It is worked completely in Cross Stitch and Back Stitch and designed either for 16 ct. AIDA or 32 ct. Linen to be worked over 2 threads. It contains 125 Anchor Colours. I haven't made a decision about the fabric yet. It's huge: 32” (81 cm) wide x 41” (104 cm) long and can either be finished as a framed picture or a quilt type style wall hanging. It's not priced yet and only available as chart. |
